Zehn Mythen zur pädiatrischen Gendermedizin

Am 22. September 2026 leitete das portugiesische Parlament eine Reihe öffentlicher Anhörungen zu 3 Gesetzentwürfen ein, die die Regulierung der Gendermedizin im Kindesalter betreffen (391/XVII/1ª, 479/XVII/1ª and 486/XVII/1ª). Die Society for Gender Based Medicine (SEGM) nahm keine Stellung zu den Gesetzentwürfen, bewertete jedoch die identifizierten Behauptungen über Pubertätsblocker und CSH aus den öffentlichen Anhörungen auf ihre Richtigkeit und legte ihre Bewertung direkt dem portugiesischen Parlament vor.

Die SEGM nimmt vor dem portugiesischen Parlament Stellung zu Behauptungen über Pubertätsblocker und CSH

Am 22. September 2026 leitete das portugiesische Parlament eine Reihe öffentlicher Anhörungen zu 3 Gesetzentwürfen ein, die die Regulierung der Gendermedizin im Kindesalter betreffen (391/XVII/1ª, 479/XVII/1ª and 486/XVII/1ª). Im Rahmen dieser öffentlichen Debatte reichten mehrere Berufsverbände Stellungnahmen beim Parlament ein, die eine Reihe wissenschaftlicher Behauptungen enthielten. Zu diesen Verbänden gehörten die Portugiesische Ärztekammer, die Portugiesische Gesellschaft für Klinische Sexologie sowie eine unabhängige Gruppe von Gesundheitsfachkräften und Wissenschaftlern, die auf Geschlechtsidentität spezialisiert sind. In den Stellungnahmen wurde gegen die vorgeschlagenen Einschränkungen der pädiatrischen Geschlechtsmedizin Einspruch erhoben, obwohl die Portugiesische Ärztekammer einräumt, dass die Evidenz für den psychologischen Nutzen von Pubertätsblockern nach wie vor begrenzt ist und eine geringe Sicherheit aufweist.

Anschließend wurde die SEGM von Genspect Portugal kontaktiert, die eine Reihe wissenschaftlicher Behauptungen in diesen Stellungnahmen identifiziert hatte und uns bat, diese zu bewerten. Die SEGM vertritt seit ihrer Gründung den Standpunkt, dass öffentliche Debatten, die junge Patienten betreffen, auf einer rigorosen, transparenten und methodisch fundierten Bewertung der verfügbaren Evidenz beruhen sollten. Im Einklang mit unserem Auftrag nahmen wir keine Stellung zu den Gesetzentwürfen, bewerteten jedoch die identifizierten Behauptungen auf ihre Richtigkeit hin und legten unsere Bewertung direkt dem portugiesischen Parlament vor.
