Brief einer Detransitionierten
Nicht viele, die ihre Transition oder Teile davon bereuen, informieren die Ärzt/innen, die ihren die gesunden Körperteile entfernt oder umgestaltet bzw. ihnen Hormone verabreicht haben, über ihre Detransition bzw. ihr Bedauern.
Bei Detransitionen stellt sich immer die Frage, ob Ärzt/innen nicht doch dem ärztlichen Eid „keinen Schaden anzurichten" zuwider gehandelt haben, auch wenn sie sich per Leitlinienorientierung, informierte Einwilligungen und Indikationsschreiben „abgesichert” sind. Schließlich haben Chirurgen und Endokrinologen die Letztverantwortung für ihr Tun.
